Verdun Elementary Library has a collection of over 10,000 English and French books including picture books, novels, graphic novels and non-fiction. It offers a wide selection of reading and resource materials to support classroom learning and student reading. New books are purchased regularly based on teacher requests and suggestions, the Quebec Education Program, award-winning publications, and knowledge of individual student needs and interests.
Students visit the library each week on Tuesdays for storytime and to borrow books. They are responsible for bringing their books back each week. A child will not be allowed to borrow new books until the ones currently borrowed have been returned. Books should not be written in or torn.
